Sarah Snowsell

Sarah is a certified ACMG hiking and apprentice ski guide. A 2010 Olympian in the sport of biathlon, Sarah brings the same tenacity and spirit to her role as a dedicated mom of two energetic kiddos. Balancing family adventures with a passion for the mountains, she inspires both young and old to lace up their boots and embrace the wild!

Ian, Sarah’s husband and a wildman himself, is also an ACMG ski guide and hiking guide. He may be wrangled into guiding as well- Childcare dependent!

How did you choose the name WildFern Adventures: Growing up between Canmore, AB and Nelson, New Zealand, I have always felt a pull towards both countries. The WildFern name connects me to New Zealand, as well as my daughter, whose name is Fernly.

Favourite Trail Run: The Rockwall, AB and The Routeburn, NZ.

Favourite trail snack: Peanut butter pretzels
